Hey, ever see those ads touting DaimlerChrysler's (NYSE:DCX) 30-day guarantee. You know, you get to drive the car for 30 days and if you don't like it you can take it back. Well, it seems it's not all it's cracked up to be.
Upon returning the car, customers are finding out that they're billed with hefty restocking charges and other fees. Of course, most dealers won't discuss these fees up-front. Can't you just hear the sales pitch: "Hey folks, take this baby home and enjoy it for 30 days. If y'all decide she's not the car for you just bring her back and we'll refund yer
money."
Next time you're in the Chrysler showroom, let 'em know you're not buying it.
