The Associates press reports that Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals, a Cincinnati company, is being pursued by the U.S. Attorney’s office on fraud charges. These charges revolve mainly around their “sexual enhancement products.” Chief among these is Enzyte, a “male enhancement” pill.

The case against Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals and its executives is based on “the systematic use of unauthorized credit card charges and thousands of complaints over unordered products,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Anne Porter told jurors. The trial started January 9th.
Berkeley Premium Nutraceuticals also marketed certain other products which they claimed would help purchasers lose weight, improve their memories, and give them younger looking skin. Customers that responded to company ads were placed on an automatic shipping and billing program without their consent, resulting in scheduled, regular credit card billing. This was Bad Business based on late-night TV ads.
