An expose of bad businesses and their unethical practices

Lily Chang, the head of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Trade, has appeared in court in Hong Kong to answer charges that she was involved in a share options scam. She is facing one charge of fraud and two charges of making false statements as a company director. The offenses allegedly occurred in 2002. Also charged in the case was the company’s executive director.

The two are being charged with making false representations in order to obtain millions of share options in their company, and with making false written statements about to whom the shares were going. The initial investigation was performed by Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption, as a part of a lengthy investigation into the company for which both defendants worked in 2002. The trial of the two is expected to continue in March.
