An expose of bad businesses and their unethical practices

Matt Marlon is well known within the Web’s Search Engine Optimization (SEO) community. He ran an SEO firm named Traffic Power, which quickly build a reputation for using questionable “black hat” techniques to build traffic on Web sites. Some of these were his own sites; others, he consulted with. It appears certain that these techniques caused all of Marlon’s sites, and quite a few of his customer sites, to be removed from the index of the Google search engine.

As if this were not enough, Marlon is now in even deeper trouble the Nevada Secretary of State’s Securities Division. According to a story by Mitch Truswell on television channel KVBC, Marlon has been contacting owners of homes nearing foreclosure, apparently making an offer to but the homes. It appears, however, that when he biked the owners into moving out, he immediately rented their homes to others, despite not owning them. The State was not amused and is in the process of collecting evidence against Marlon.

It is amazing how much Bad Business one person can get up to.
